Competition Licence
After membership is completed on the WCMCC website, you will need to apply for a licence.
Application has to be done on the motorcycle Ireland Website, everything is online.
Payment is made via credit card.

As part of your application, the following will be required:

Anti-Doping Seminar attendance.
(Anti-doping online seminar is closed and we are awaiting confirmation from MCI on how racers are to do their Anti doping seminar. Once we know, we will update here.)

Flag Seminar document - you will need to declare that you have read and understood the Flag Seminar document

Club membership verification - we need to verify that you are a member of an affiliated club. As part of the application form, you will need to upload a copy of your current Club Membership Certificate OR your current club membership number. This must be valid for the current year.

A medical form that must be signed and stamped by your doctor, which you can upload as a scan/photo. If you have a 2023 medical cert, a scan/photo if that will be accepted for the coming year. If you are unable to locate your 2023 medical cert, please email letting us know (you will still be able to complete the form).

Once you have submitted your application, Motorcycle Ireland (MCI) will carry out the approval process, and if successful you will receive your licence in digital format.

2025 Short Circuit Newcomers assessment date.
Motorcycling Ireland Short Circuit Committee have confirmed dates for their newcomer licence assessment day.

Day one will be held on Saturday 01st February in Mondello Park.
This day will cover the flag seminar, as well as providing information on PPE, bike preparation and technical inspections.
It will also give informations on the Masters Championship, such as how to enter and the format for the events throughout the year.

Day two will be held on Saturday 22nd February.
This will be an on track session on the Mondello Park national circuit.
Before attending the newcomer assessment day you must:
-Join an MCI affiliated Motorcycle club.
-Submit a licence application.
-Apply for entry to the assessment days.
The cost of the assessment day will be €150 for solo & sidecar entrants, and €50 for sidecar passenger only.
Saturday 01st February:
Sign on 9:30am, Classroom 10:00am.
Saturday 22nd February:
Sign on 8:30am,
Technical Inspection 9:00am,
Track Sessions 10:00am.
